Strictlys Ellie and Vito share reason they put romance on ice ahead of final

Strictly finalists Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola have been hit with romance rumours since they joined the show.

However, with the Glitterball Trophy up for grabs on Saturday 16, Ellie insists that she is solely focused on winning, declaring she wants to "do it for the girls" as the pair puts any romance on ice.

Ellie Leach, 22, and Vito Coppola, 31, have enjoyed a close bond both on and off-screen, even spotted on a cosy walk together.

Former contestant Amanda Abbington also seemed to confirm the pair were dating when she referred to them as "the most beautiful couple" on Instagram.

The actress also revealed that Vito has been to her house "several times for tea" and loves her mum's cooking. Opening up about their close bond, Vito said, "I love Ellie's family."

Their incredible on-screen chemistry has consistently impressed the judges and kept them in the competition.

The former Coronation Street star needs to outperform Bobby Brazier and Layton Williams for a chance to win.

The Sun reports that Ellie, now the bookies' favourite to win, will be putting any potential romance with Vito on ice to focus on the upcoming performance.

When asked about her rumoured romance with Vito, Ellie told the publication that they have far too much to think about, and that every moment together is focused on the "choreography."

She said, "After we go home, we make sure we go to sleep, the next day, we have to go again.

"So we really are so focused on all this beautiful experience. We just had a very great connection, a 50/50 partnership since the beginning."

The star added that she and Vito have developed a "strong partnership" and can really trust each other.

Ellie and Vito are currently at 1/10 to win, reportedly the shortest odds in the show's history. Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin are the second favourites at 8/1, with Bobby Brazier and Diane Buswell at 21/1.

As the only female celebrity left in the final, soap star Ellie insists that she would love to "do it for the girls" as she is the "last woman standing."

The pair will perform a dance to a Jennifer Lopez megamix in the showdown, with Italian Vito describing their final dance as "a bit like minestrone" soup, because it's so varied.

The final airs on BBC One on Saturday, 16, at 7 pm.
